How do I schedule a Telemedicine visit?

Book a video visit by clicking on the Request Appointment. You will complete the basic information and choose an appointment time on the calendar for the same day, next day or a future date. As a new patient, you will be prompted to complete an easy medical history form and create your patient portal. At the time of your visit, you will receive a text message and an email with a link to join the video visit. Click on link to “start appointment.” Enter your date of birth to allow placement into the video room. You are now ready to be seen.

Who will I see during my Telemedicine visit?

EMS telemedicine is staffed with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) which refers to the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant. EMS telemedicine has access to Board-Certified Physicians 24/7.

How much does my Telemedicine visit cost?

An EMS telemedicine visit costs $49 for self-pay. If you have insurance, the costs could be low as $0 depending on your insurance coverage and your deductible. There is no difference in costs for weekends, holidays, or at night

How do I pay for my Telemedicine visit?

You can pay for your video visit using insurance or self-pay ($49).

A patient may be seen by an EMS Telemedicine APP without insurance. A referral is not needed to be seen. You will however, need to pay for your telemedicine appointment with a credit card at the time of the visit.

We can accept and bill the following insurance plans: Medicare, Tricare, TriWest and United Healthcare. An invoice for your visits can be obtained from your patient portal. You can submit invoice to other insurance company for a possible reimbursement.

You will be required to enter credit card information prior to your telemedicine visit. Don't worry - your credit card will not be charged at the time of service. Your credit card will only be charged if you select self-pay or your insurance has expired. If you provide insurance information, we will only bill you if your insurance plan does not fully cover the cost of the telemedicine visit.


How long is my Telemedicine visit?

Most video visits average 20 minutes. This is enough time for the APP to assess your symptoms, recommend a treatment plan and answer your questions. Visits may be shorter or longer if needed at no extra cost.

Can the APP prescribe medication during my Telemedicine visit?

Yes, you can get a prescription medication through a video visit. Our APPs can write prescriptions and can send it to a local pharmacy of your choice for pickup. We make it easy for you to get the prescriptions you need.

Why do I need a patient portal?

A patient portal is an easy convenient way for the APP and yourself to communicate with each other anytime, anywhere. The portal provides email, your healthcare information, labs or imaging results, and payment review in one simple click.

What do I need for a Telemedicine appointment?

You must have a computer or tablet or phone for telemedicine visit. We recommend Google Chrome or Firefox browser. Confirm your device is connected to the home WIFI network. Audio and video must be enabled. Close all other apps that are open on the device during the video call. Find a quiet space with good lighting. You are ready to get started.
